Sound Contracting : Fewer Vernals = Better Result

The compact size of the Technomad Vernal can lead one into thinking that it should be used like a traditional compact loudspeaker.  While you CAN use the Vernal as a 1-to-1 replacement for traditional loudspeakers from manufacturers such as JBL™, Bose™, Posh™, or Quam™, doing this misses out on the advantages of the Vernal's efficient, wide-dispersion design.

Ordinary low-powered boxes need to be installed every few feet in order to provide even sound coverage, especially in a loud environment such as a restaurant or a retail space.  These dome-tweeter or "no-tweeter" cabinets struggle to overcome background noise, and often sound strained.  Worse yet, they are very susceptible to failure if used for paging on top of music playback - one good yell into an unlimited vocal mic and a service call is required!  Traditional cabinets are often installed relatively close to the listener, because longer throws are just not possible.

In contrast, just a few wide-dispersion Vernals mounted near the ceiling to provide smooth, even coverage for a very large space.  The Vernal's horn-loaded, ceramic HF drivers sound open and effortless, and feature internal power protection to protect against damage from momentary peaks.  The Vernal offers much better bass response than traditional small cabinets, and offer 70-volt power taps up to 60 watts, and 8-ohm power handling up to 100 watts RMS.

The result?  A lower cost system that is more reliable, easier and faster to install, requires less wiring, and sounds better.
